Rustic Glam Holman Ranch Wedding

Shawnacy and Louisa’s wedding at the stunning Holman Ranch in Carmel was all about love, family, and keeping things true to who they are. As a second marriage for both of them, it wasn’t just about saying “I do” but celebrating the journey that brought them here. With six kids between them—Carly, Alaina, Camden, Addy, Blake, and little Jolie—their day was a full-on family affair, filled with love, laughter, and so many special moments. They even found sweet ways to honor loved ones who couldn’t be there, making the day as heartfelt as it was beautiful.

The charm of Holman Ranch, with its rolling hills and cozy elegance, set the perfect stage for a wedding that felt personal and inviting. They wanted the day to feel like “this is so us,” and it absolutely did. Known for hosting unforgettable gatherings, they brought that same magic to their wedding, pouring love into every detail.

“Some of my favorite memories were: My son walking me down the aisle. Shawnacy’s dad as our officiant. Shawnacy’s daughter singing for our ceremony while his step-mom played the piano. Hearing Shawnacy’s vows to me, and his promise to keep my dad and brother’s memory alive in our house and around us all the time. (My little brother (one of my best friends) passed away 6 years ago and Shawnacy has seen how much this still devastates me today. It meant so much to hear his promise.)”

“I wanted to showcase our wedding as romantic, vintage, whimsical, intimate, and with some modern touches such as with the ghost chairs. Christine Cater helped add those touches with the feather display that I fell in love with. Seeing this in one of her styled shoots is the reason I sought her out for our wedding. It was gorgeous then, and even more so for our own wedding. Since our wedding was only about 150 guests of our closest friends and family, I especially wanted it to feel homely. I wanted the décor and attention to detail to resemble our own home, and be as detailed as what we do when we throw our own events at our home or for the company. ”
