Molly and Patrick knew they wanted something special and intimate for their wedding, so they set their sights on a Sonoma for a dreamy late summer celebration. While they usually call Chicago home, they didn’t want to gamble on the Midwest weather, especially since they had their hearts set on an outdoor wedding. Wine Country ticked all the boxes with its stunning views and, of course, its incredible wines. “Our jobs keep us indoors and stressed most of the time, so we were really craving something calm, beautiful, and peaceful for our wedding weekend,” Molly said. “We wanted a place where we could unwind with the people we love most.”
Enter Beltane Ranch – one of my absolute favorite venues in California. Even though they hadn’t seen it in person before booking, Molly and Patrick felt the ranch’s laid-back vibe was exactly what they were looking for. With the help of Kaella Wilson from Kaella Lynn Events and Daisy Rose Floral Design, they pulled off an elegant yet relaxed wedding that embraced the natural beauty of the venue. Molly mentioned, “The goal was to have the decor enhance but not outshine Beltane’s gorgeous surroundings.” They went with a color palette of gold, Parisian blue, peach, blush, and cream, and filled the space with wild, romantic flowers. The result? A cheerful yet sophisticated look that blended perfectly with the ranch’s atmosphere.
There were also fun little details that reflected the couple’s playful personalities and love for their hometown of Chicago. Fresh peaches served as escort cards, and peach mojitos were the go-to drink during cocktail hour. Instead of the usual guest book, they asked family and friends to leave their well wishes on colorful, vintage Chicago postcards.
We love this peachy wedding! Molly and Patrick were married at one of our FAVORITE venues in the Bay Area, Beltane Ranch. Their designer, Kaella Lynn, was absolutely amazing with every detail.
