Classy White and Rose Wedding

This California wedding held at the stunning Athenaeum is centered around the most entertaining couple. This venue, with such deep rooted history, encompasses an incredibly elegant setting with its beautiful architecture. Kaley shares, “Bryant and I had many conversations over the course of a year and a half about what all of our favorite weddings had in common. Without question, it was always that a true sense of the couple radiated through the event. With the help of my mother, who is a designer, we went about setting something that captured our love of things timeless and elegant with a very subtle touch of whimsy.”

“My hands down, favorite moment of the day, was my first look with Bryant. My favorite aspect of our relationship is that we are constantly laughing. That morning we were running a little behind on some logistical things and I was feeling overwhelmed. The minute I saw Bryant’s back from where I was supposed to start my walk it took everything in my power to stop myself from simply running to him. The moment I saw his face I immediately felt at ease and his hilarious and touching reaction to seeing me for the first time sent me into a fit of laughter. He has always been my touchstone, and in that moment, more than ever it was so incredibly clear why I was beyond excited to marry him.”

“We really aimed to elevate the idea of a classic white wedding with soft metallics throughout. Something that really worked with the uniqueness of the venue without overpowering it. Our florist did such a beautiful job of designing pieces that were intended to wow, like in our front entry, and then soft arrangements to add warmth to a table primarily covered in votives.”

“We were lucky to find a venue with such deep rooted history and beautiful architecture to set the stage, and truly, The Athenaeum gave off a vibe that felt so unique to us and was so completely different than any other wedding we’d attended in California. We are known amongst our friends as fans of everything classic. Whether it be drinks, games, or dress. We found opportunities to showcase this through our signature cocktail (a Manhattan) and the columns and grand fireplace to find touches of this all throughout our wedding.”
